Indigenous Lives 

The truth and reconciliation that the government continues to claim they are taking part in with the Indigenous people that we (society) continue to marginalize is absolutely not okay. 

The residential school system that the Canadian government instituted in order to abolish a culture and inflicted a tremendous amount of trauma on the beautiful culture of their people is appalling and despicable.  There continues to be generational trauma that has manifested itself in so many ways.  Want to see what privilege looks like? Look at the Nova Scotia fishermen and what they are doing to the Indigenous people who have Treaty rights that continue to be trampled on in Nova Scotia fishermen and what they are doing to the Indigenous people who have Treaty rights that continue to be trampled on.
